With two different personalities and genders occupying this shared bedroom, it was best to choose a neutral color palette of white and grey. The idea was to create different areas for each of them to call their own but at the same time coexist together. Keeping this mind, the designer chose Sissy+Marley XOXO wallpaper, which paired well with the traffic jam wallpaper for a car-lover. Each of the wallpaper styles was placed on the wall adjacent to their respective trundle beds from Restoration Hardware, completed with Land of Nod (now CB Kids) white shelves for books and knick-knacks. Each bed is accentuated by a pop of color with pillows and blankets, in purple and blue, respectively. A custom built-in along the window wall was designed to house shoes, bags, and accessories, with a custom pin board and dry erase board, installed on the side wall.
