Approaching tween years requires more space and often calls for separate bedrooms. Luckily for this tween, a spare guest bedroom was available to be converted into her own space. A much-muted palette of pink, baby blue, and grey with silver accents is chosen here for a girly but mature look. The main idea was to make the room brighter and give it a younger feel. The walls are covered in a Wolf Gordon blush pink, textured wallpaper. An original Ralph Lauren bed is re-upholstered in a light grey Schumacher fabric. A functional but straightforward workspace is created with a desk from Pottery Bath with a matching pinboard. A comfortable chair is selected from BoConcept with custom upholstery and finish. On the other side of the bed, a small but comfortable chair is provided for cozy afternoon reads. Fun and quirky artwork above the bed complete the look and blend with the girl’s personality.
